Speaking Fees
for speaking, panels, workshops, conventions, and conferences

Teaching: Ask about supplementary history classes.

These fees always are required because they fuel the very expensive mission
of disseminating the formerly enslaved individuals' words to the world.
However, they can be reduced in very special cases. Contact.

Locations within the contiguous USA, i.e., mainland

Keynote Speaking (paid attendance by audience) ................................. $3,500
Speaking (free attendance by audience) ...............................................$3,000

Educational Institutions
Locations within the contiguous USA, i.e., mainland

Keynote Speaking (paid attendance by audience) ................................. $3,000*
Speaking (free attendance by audience) ...............................................$2,500*

local transportation, hotel, and meals

Each additional day: $750

*with CERTAIN MAJOR STIPULATIONS
(otherwise, the standard national fees apply)

Speaking and class instruction are two separate engagements.

Local
Locations within a 45-minute one-way trip from Washington, DC

$750 and up + a minimum in book sales

Details for All Engagements

Ms. Howell is located in Washington, DC. Airplane transportation is from Reagan National Airport. (BWI Airport and Dullas Airport require additional transportation costs from and back to DC.)

Speaking fees are in addition to:

1. Round-trip transportation
2. Washington, DC transportation to and from airport (taxicab)
3. Connecting transportation between airports (if flight is not non-stop)
4. Event city's transportation to and from airport, hotel, and event(s)
(Transportation in a volunteer's vehicle is acceptable.)
5. Hotel (when overnight stays are required)
6. Meals

REDUCED  FEES

Ms. Howell will speak at a reduced fee
under certain circumstances and may accept
other reasonable methods of compensation. Please remember that
long distance transportation, local transportation,
hotel accommodations (if applicable), and meals
still are required to be provided when fees are reduced.
